new reads

I just picked up three new books from the thrift store: Memoirs of a Geisha, Bridget Jones's Diary, and The Bondwoman's Narrative.

I am so excited to be reading something that is not specifically about spiritual/church/God nor dysfunctional families. Ah! It's like going on vacation!

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!! I am in the same place, only I have been reading poetry because my brain can not even take in a novel!! I am so glad I'm not alone, sister!

Oh I hear you!

Memoirs of a Geisha was interesting in a cultural sense, but...let me know what you think.

My latest "fling book" is A Thread of Grace by Russell, about the "underground effort by Italian citizens who save the lives of 43,000 Jews during the final phase of WWII." Hmmm, I didn't think this till I typed that last sentence, but that doesn't sound "fling-ish" enough does it? Must. try. harder.
